Totec are an independent recruitment consultancy that provide contract and permanent recruitment services to reputable employers within the technical and engineering sectors. We are currently assisting one of our long standing clients in appointing the following role:

Job title: Design Engineer

Industry: Steel / Industrial / Engineering

Employment type: Permanent

Salary / Rate: £20,000 - £22,000 per annum depending on experience (plus benefits)

The role

Working within a team of designers, you will prepare drawings and perform calculations derived from customer orders. You will oversee and manage projects from design to manufacture.

Person specification

· Ideal candidates will hold a Mechanical or Structural Engineering degree with experience of controlling projects.

· You will have experience using AutoCAD and office applications.

· You will be able to work to demanding and strict deadlines.

· Previous experience in a manufacturing industry is desirable.
