Applications Engineer

Our client is a World leader in the production of metal bearings for the Automotive, Rail and Manufacturing industries.

They are currently looking to recruit an Applications Engineer to be based at their site in Somerset.

Salary: £25000 per annum.

Hour of Work: 8am - 4.30pm Mon to Thurs. 8am - 1.20pm Friday.

Job Purpose:
As part of the Application Engineering team, to provide a high standard of technical customer service and support for both existing designs and new projects, with active involvement from prototype design to full production.

Requirements:
* Applicants should hold a degree in an engineering discipline or a lower level qualification that is supported with relevant experience.

* Your experience within an industry will have provided you with a good understanding of the design and mechanics of rotating and/or reciprocating machinery.

* Competency in the use of engineering design software is essential, ideally in the field of bearing design. 

* A basic understanding of metallurgy would be an advantage.
