Quality Control Team Leader

 

QUALITY CONTROL TEAM LEADER (PRODUCTS & TECHNOLOGIES)

LOCATION: Ely, Cambridgeshire

SALARY: £22,000 to £26,000 per annum (depending on experience)

POSITION TYPE: Full-time, permanent

HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday (35 hours per week)

 

 

My client is a market leader in the manufacture of measurement and diagnostics instrumentation for the oil & gas industry. This prestigious employer based in Ely is looking for an experienced and qualified Quality Control Team Leader to work within their products and technologies sector.

 

As well as producing high quality components the company also offer front-end consultancy, prototyping, in-house testing and cutting-edge scientific research. Staffed by a wholly independent team of engineers and scientists, they provide products to meet both the current and future needs of the petro-chemical industries.

 

This is a newly-created role, due to expanding workload.

 

Main duties include:

  • Create & control quality inspection processes and procedures
  • Carry out dimensional inspections, both in-house and at our sub-contractors’ locations
  • Keep detailed records of inspections
  • Co-ordinate & document rectification processes
  • Co-ordinate & document continual improvement processes
  • Provide contract-related QC documentation
  • Inspect, monitor, audit and assess staff and processes
  • Complete conformance checks and manufacturing audits
  • Control inspection equipment.

 

Requirements:

  • Candidates applying must have relevant qualifications related to machining and assembly inspection techniques OR be able to demonstrate a minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a team leader within a machine/assembly shop inspection environment.
  • You will also have the ability to read engineering drawings and to work to fine tolerances.
  • Candidate must have proven leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to write processes and procedures.
  • Due to the requirement to travel as part of this role, you must hold a driving license and be willing to show flexibility in this regard.
