As part of the governments response to the economic downturn the Department for Work and Pensions have introduced a range of additional services for jobseekers, a key element of which has been the JobSearch Support for Newly Unemployed Professionals, which was introduced in april 2009.

Working in partnership with the local Jobcentre Plus, Totec Recruitment have been selected to deliver this initiative across Swansea and South West Wales. Using our extensive experience in the private recruitment sector, Totec will be able to provide referred jobseekers with free advice on a variety of topics from Career counselling, tips on CV writing, interviewing skills, market intelligence and jobsearch techniques.

With over thirty five years of providing recruitment services to companies across South Wales, Totec have developed an excellent understanding of the needs of the business community from the perspective of both the employer and employee, making us the strategic choice to provide this vital resource to professional jobseekers.

The contract is to run for two years and it is estimated that around 20,000 professional people per year will benefit from the programme.
